Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Before you begin, download the official Ultima Online client:

Download the Ultima Online Client

Download uoml_setup.exe

  1. Locate the Installer
    Find     uoml_setup.exe in your Downloads folder.

  2. Start the Installation
    Double-click uoml_setup.exe If Windows asks for permission to make changes, click Yes.

  3. Welcome Screen
    Click Next.

  4. License Agreement
    Select I Accept the Agreement and click Next.

  5. Choose Installation Folder
    Leave the default installation location and click Next.

  6. Select Components
    Keep the default selections and click Next.

  7. Choose Start Menu Folder
    Leave the default setting or choose a different folder, then click Next.

  8. Additional Tasks
    Leave the default options selected and click Next.

  9. Ready to Install
    Click Install to begin the installation.

  10. Installation Progress
    Wait for the installation to complete.

  11. Finish Setup
    When installation is complete, uncheck "Launch Ultima Online" and click Finish.

Important

***  Do NOT launch Ultima Online yet.  **
There are two more configuration steps required before you will be able to connect to the UO: Columbia server.

Razor Setup Guide for UO: Columbia

Follow these simple steps to install Razor and connect to UO: Columbia.

Step 1: Download Razor

Download the latest Razor launcher: (Download Razor here)

Step 2: Install Razor

  1. Double-click the downloaded Razor installer.
  2. If Windows asks for permission to make changes, click Yes.
  3. Read and accept the license agreement.
  4. Click Next and follow the installation prompts.
  5. Click Install and wait for the installation to finish.
  6. When complete, click Finish.

Step 3: Configure Razor

Launch Razor and enter the following information:

Ultima Online Client Path

Server Address: columbiathegame.hopto.org

Port: 2593

Once these settings are entered, click OK or Connect..NET Framework Installation (If Required)

Some systems may require Microsoft .NET Framework before Razor can run.

If prompted:

  1. Click Yes when Razor asks to install .NET Framework.
  2. The Microsoft installer will open.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Accept the license agreement.
  5. Click Install.
  6. Wait for the installation to complete.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Restart Razor.

If .NET Framework is already installed on your computer, you can safely skip this section.

Creating Your Account

 

UO: Columbia does not require a separate registration process.

Simply:

  1. Launch Razor and connect to the server.
  2. Create a username and password.
  3. Remember your login information for future use.
  4. Create your character and begin your adventure.

You can also invite family and friends to join you and play together online!
